Baltimore has a new name for the city’s squeegee workers, 'Disconnected Youth That Squeegee', (DYTS).
During a Board of Estimates meeting Wednesday, city officials approved funding to launch an employment program with Canopy Hilton Hotel in Harbor East to get ‘Disconnected Youth That Squeegee” off city streets.
Dr. Kaye and community members weigh in on the new terminology, discuss the worksite agreement and express their frustration over “disconnected” youth and adults.
