(WEAA)—Ernestine Shepherd, the Guinness World Record holder for oldest competitive female bodybuilder will serve as grand marshal for Baltimore’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade.
The 87-year-old Baltimore native says she is looking forward to walking in the parade to engage and connect with the community.
During her interview with Dr. Kaye, the highly regarded fitness trainer passionately talks about peace, happiness, and the significance of the color yellow.
She also shares her inspiring journey into fitness and bodybuilding, which started at the age of 71 after the loss of her sister.
Ernestine emphasizes the importance of being driven by the principles of determination, dedication, and discipline and even recounts winning a competition in Rome, outperforming participants who were younger than her.
