Dr. Nadine Finigan-Carr, guest hosts, explores anti-violence efforts in Baltimore City

Dr. Nadine Finigan-Carr fills in as guest host for Dr. Kaye.

During this segment, Dr. Finigan-Carr is joined by Living Classrooms’ Operation Respond Team and Dr. Argin Hutchins, a Morgan alumnus and licensed clinical professional counselor.

The Operation Respond Team, consisting of Joshua Tuck, a Morgan State University alum and workforce development case manager; Jamar Kennedy, an outreach navigator; Reverend Lamont Robinson Senior, an employment placement coordinator; and Lamont Holt and Antonio Taylor, both resource navigators share their anti-violence efforts in Baltimore City.

They discuss their use of a mobile unit for outreach, emphasizing the need for proactive engagement with at-risk communities, economic stability, safety, and employment support.

Dr. Argin Hutchins shares his trauma-informed psychoeducational interventions, addressing both historical and current trauma.

The guests outline strategies for mental health support, conflict resolution, and job assistance to foster community engagement and provide practical support, aiming for comprehensive recovery and transition from violence.
