Last week, Baltimore City, state, and congressional leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new facility to honor the late U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings.
The Congressman Elijah Cummings Recreation Center will replace the existing Curtis Bay Recreation Center.
The center will be located across from Curtis Bay Elementary and within walking distance of Bay-Brook Elementary/Middle and Benjamin Franklin High School, making it more accessible for students in the community.
Officials say the facility represents opportunity, legacy, and a brighter future for the community.
