Governor Wes Moore highlights Maryland’s progress, pointing to a historic low in homicides and at least a 25% year-over-year drop in various crimes.

Moore criticizes President Trump for disparaging Baltimore, saying that instead of celebrating the state’s progress, Trump is calling the city a death trap.

The governor also touts Maryland’s economic gains, noting more than 100,000 new jobs and a drop in unemployment.

Moore rejects calls to mobilize the National Guard, citing constitutional and financial concerns.

He addresses the impact of federal job losses, particularly on Black women, and announces a new executive order aimed at boosting housing by using state-owned land for development and streamlining the permitting process.
