In a special Today With Dr. Kaye on the road, Dr. Kaye visited the site of "The Weeping Time" in Savannah, GA.
In March 1859, 436 men, women, and children were sold in the largest enslaved sale in U.S. history.
The event became known as "The Weeping Time" because it rained heavily for the entire two days of the auction, as God wept for the families being torn apart.
