Baltimore Teachers Union Pushes to Repeal Maryland's Decades-Old No Strike Law

Baltimore Teachers Union President Diamonte Brown joined WEAA to discuss the union's push to repeal Maryland's No Strike Law, which has been on the books since the 1970s.

Brown argued that the right to strike is a critical tool for workers, giving them the leverage needed to negotiate better terms. The BTU is working alongside local organizations to build support for the repeal.

Coalition meetings are held every other Thursday at 6 PM. Those interested in getting involved can email info@baltu.org.
