‘We want a summer of peace’| Baltimore organization working to prevent violence
(WEAA)— We Our Us is a unity engagement men’s movement working to prevent violence in Baltimore by serving as connectors, protectors, mediators and messengers.
On Monday, March 28, the organization is calling for a city-wide wide meeting to address city crime and to discuss solutions on how to get in front of the uptick in violence expected during the summer months.
“It’s about bringing resources to our community.“
Pastor Corey Barnes, president of We Our Us, believes the level of gun violence isn’t going to decrease based off of enforcement but instead off of building strong, meaningful relationships.
