(WEAA)— Local organizations are calling for a stronger student discipline policy from Baltimore County Public Schools.
The NAACP and Teachers Association of Baltimore County are concerned over student and staff safety.
WBAL reports, the president of the Baltimore County branch of the NAACP, said since day one, the school system has failed to get a handle on violence on campus, some of it captured on cellphone video.
Dr. Amy Klinger, a nationally recognized expert in school safety and crisis management and the Director of Programs for The Educators' School Safety Network joins Gabe Ortis to discuss school safety, violence prevention, and the role of law enforcement and security in schools.
