Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scotts announced the appointment of Anthony Barksdale, former Baltimore Police deputy commissioner, as deputy mayor for public safety.
During a press conference on Friday, Barksdale apologized to Baltimore Police Commissioner Harrison for past remarks criticizing the city’s policing.
