15-year-old girl shot and killed by 9-year-old boy. Legal expert weighs in
Baltimore police say a 15-year-old girl was shot and killed by a 9-year-old boy in West Baltimore on Saturday night.
The incident happened on the 600 block of Linnard Street according to authorities.
The victim has been identified as Nykayla Strawder.
Officials say, under Maryland law, the boy can't be charged with a crime, because of his age but investigators are working with the State's Attorney's Office and some charges related to the shooting are still possible.
Attorney Latoya Francis-Williams joins Gabe Ortis to discuss prosecutorial discretion, possible charges and potential lawsuits.
