(WEAA)— A GoFundMe has been created for the family of 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi who was killed in the July 2nd mass shooting in Brooklyn. The Tendea Family, a nonprofit grassroots organization founded at Morgan State University, has set up the online campaign to cover the costs of Kylis’ funeral and other immediate needs for the Kidwell family.
Kylis was one of the two people killed in this incident, and 28 others were wounded.
He leaves behind his mother, Tamika Kidwell, his sister, and a host of family, and friends.
Tamika says, "Kylis was a funny kid who had a personality and smile that [could] light up a room. His laugh was unique. Kylis used to be a math tutor and he loved technology. Kylis was a very intelligent kid. He loved to work and take care of me. He was my protector, my heart."
