(WEAA)—Mayor Brandon Scott vetoed a bill created to reduce the pension requirements for Baltimore City officials.
The bill, which passed 8 to 5 with two abstentions, would make city officials eligible to receive a pension after 8 years instead of 12.
Scott said, “At this time, therefore, I cannot in good conscience sign City Council Bill 22-0292 into law without the benefit of a complete and thorough analysis.”
