Baltimore County softball coach charged with rape, child sex abuse

Baltimore County police have arrested Michael J. Pusateri, 59, a softball coach, on charges of rape, assault, sexual abuse of a minor and soliciting child pornography.

Police said, in addition to Pusateri's role as a coach at Parkville Recreation Council, he also volunteered as an assistant coach at Kenwood High School, and has coached teams in Middle River and the Overlea-Fullerton area.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit at 410-887-7720.

Pusateri is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. A bail review hearing is scheduled for later today.
