Anne Arundel County police units are on scene following an accidental discharge of a firearm inside a classroom at Freetown Elementary School.
Authorities say a child brought the weapon to school and injured his hand when the gun discharged. Other students were present in the classroom at the time, but no additional injuries were reported.
A public information officer is on scene.
