(Baltimore, MD) -- A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Baltimore City.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley says two officers fired shots at an armed man during a chase in the 3600 block of Belair Road.
Police entered a liquor store and saw a man who they believed was armed and the suspect fled as officers approached.
The Commissioner says the shooting happened during a foot chase when the suspect refused to drop his gun.
At least 16 rounds were fired, but it's unknown if any of the shots came from the suspect. The suspect was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting happened on the same day that a driver shot at a Maryland State Police trooper in Baltimore.
The trooper was not shot, but suffered powder burns due to the shooting. The search for that suspect is ongoing.
