Congressman Kweisi Mfume and Candace Rondeaux, a professor with the Future Security Initiative at Arizona State University join Dr. Kaye for a conversation examining the geopolitical implications of U.S. intervention in Venezuela.

The country holds the world’s largest oil reserves, valued at an estimated $22 trillion, making it a central focus of former President Donald Trump’s foreign policy interests.

The discussion notes that the U.S. has carried out more than 30 strikes on Venezuelan ships since September, resulting in over 100 deaths.

The exchange underscores the need for congressional oversight and international cooperation to prevent further escalation.
