(Baltimore, MD) -- What started out as an argument between relatives quickly escalated into a barricade situation and a lockdown at a nearby school.
Baltimore Police were called to an animal hospital Monday morning in the 1600 block of Light Street.
That is where a 66-year-old veterinarian was shot in the leg in what police say started as a family matter.
The incident prompted the lockdown of the Thomas Johnson Elementary-Middle School until officials were able to gain control of the situation.
The alleged shooter surrendered to police and the lockdown was lifted.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
