In a new legal filing, three Maryland State Police troopers allege that the state law enforcement agency has a longstanding track record of racial discrimination toward employees of color.

(Baltimore, MD) -- Two motorists have been indicted in a crash on the Baltimore Beltway in March that killed six highway workers.

Twenty-year-old Melachi Brown of Windsor Mill and 54-year-old Lisa Lea of Randallstown have been indicted on charges that include negligent manslaughter.

State Police arrested Brown yesterday. Authorities are still searching for Lea.

Investigators say both vehicles involved in the crash were traveling above the posted speed limit when the driver of an Acura moved into the left lane and clipped the front of a Volkswagen.

Following the collision, the Acura spun through an opening in the concrete barriers separating the work zone from the travel lanes, striking the workers.
