BALTIMORE, MD ( WEAA) — Family, friends and supporters filled a local restaurant Tuesday evening to celebrate Anthony McCarthy’s return to WEAA 88.9FM.

Smiles, laughter and cheers filled the reception, held by the restaurant’s owners Kevin Brown and Bill Mauglin.

Anthony, who previously hosted a show on 88.9 called “The Anthony McCarthy Show” is now the co-host of the station’s newest talk show called Two Way Talk.

A journalist and public relations professional, Anthony led the communications and public affairs teams for several Baltimore mayors, worked as a communications director for Congressman Elijah Cummings and is a member of the Baltimore City NAACP committee.

His co- host is Cara Williams, a senior at Morgan State University who served with the Baltimore City Police Department for twenty years and the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Officer for over 2 years.

The show airs Monday-Friday from 5pm-7pm.
