Two Morgan State University alumni joined WEAA's Deanna Neal to discuss men's health with a focus on prostate cancer awareness and the importance of early screening.

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Michael Bell, president of the Morgan State Alumni Association and member of the class of 1976, shared a personal connection to the issue. His father died from prostate cancer at 67 years old, an experience that drives his commitment to encouraging Black men to get tested.

Lasava S. Tidwell, also a 1976 Morgan alumnus, discussed the disproportionate death rates from prostate cancer among Black men and highlighted efforts by his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, to address the crisis. The fraternity offers free health screenings at its center on Presbury Street.
